Source Water Collaborative Publishes New Forestry Resource for Conservation Districts

This week is Drinking Water Week and the Source Water Collaborative (SWC) has published a new outreach document for conservation districts to help implement forestry practices that protect drinking water sources. The SWC worked with members of the National Association of Conservation Districts’ Forestry Subcommittee and the Southeastern Partnership for Forests & Water to develop a this resource for conservation districts. With the recent investments through Inflation Reduction Act funding for Climate Smart Agriculture and Forestry, conservation districts are encouraged to work with drinking water partners to help implement forestry practices with landowners through their local conservation delivery services. Download and share the Forestry Resource Handout and view the associated SWC web page to help drive source water protection coordination with these partners.
