On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm (eastern), member River Network will host a free Source Water Collaborative (SWC) webinar: Protecting Clean Drinking Water with the Regional Conservation Partnership Program. The RCPP program represents an important opportunity to establish cross-sector collaborations that support sustainable land use practices and help protect drinking water supplies. Register TODAY!

The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is SWC member U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)’s program that has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in conservation assistance to farmers and landowners, encouraging the restoration and sustainable use of soil, water, wildlife and related natural resources on regional or watershed scales. Since 2014 when the program started, it has provided technical and funding support to innovative projects that include diverse partners such as farmers, foresters, land trusts, drinking water providers, conservation districts, community groups and local governments.

Webinar presenters include NRCS and current RCPP partnerships that protect drinking water sources. NRCS will highlight how RCPP works and changes to the RCPP application process for 2019, and will share how to connect with the NRCS RCPP coordinator in your state. The webinar will feature case stories from drinking water industry and conservation leaders who have capitalized on RCPP resources, the Southern New England Heritage Forest Partnership and the Mason Dixon Working Lands Partnership to protect drinking water sources. The webinar will also include member American Water Works Association sharing strategies for developing projects with water systems for this and future years. All while saving plenty of time for questions! Please register today to join us and learn how you can form partnerships and leverage these resources.

The application submission portal for RCPP FY 2019 funding is currently open with applications due by December 3rd. Project funding has been authorized through 2023.
